Palmetto Bluff sits just west of Hilton Head Island. Once a family estate, the Bluff is now a residential community with three excellent golf courses. We came to play and research May River and Anson Point. Jack Nicklaus built May River in the early 2000's and it thoroughly surprised us.

The original plan was to ride across on our friend Mike's boat and catch sport fish on the way. The ocean did not cooperate and we pivoted to a turbo-prop flight and inshore bonefishing instead.
